You’ve never seen hashbrown casserole like this before.
Picture this: a warm, cabin-like space decked out with festive holiday decorations, a fire crackling in the fireplace, holiday tunes playing, and a table set with French toast, a hearty breakfast casserole, and a basket of buttermilk biscuits. Sounds perfect, right? Even better—you didn’t have to make any of it.
Cracker Barrel delivers an extra dose of charm in the wintertime that makes you want to pull up a chair (regular or rocking), pour yourself a hot cup of coffee, and settle in for a round of Pegs. And although we loved the seasonal fall menu with all its apple-inspired dishes, we think Cracker Barrel’s new holiday menu might just be the coziest yet.
Cracker Barrel Launches Its New Holiday Menu
Cracker Barrel just introduced its seasonal menu with a lineup of dishes designed to warm you up from the inside out. This holiday season at the Southern classic restaurant, you’ll find comfort foods both new and old, including reinvented versions of the most iconic menu items, like the hashbrown casserole and country fried steak.
Here’s a look at the six new featured items:
- DIY Hot Chocolate Bar: Rich hot chocolate is topped with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a customizable array of sprinkles, peppermint sticks, and chocolate morsels.
- Sparkling Plum Mimosa: This wintery brunch cocktail combines sparkling wine, plum flavors, and edible gold glitter for a sparkling seasonal treat
- Signature Fried Apple French Toast Bake: Thick-cut country bread is soaked in a vanilla custard, topped with cheesecake filling, then baked until golden before topping with Cracker Barrel’s fan-favorite Fried Apples, a brown sugar streusel, and warm Butter Pecan Syrup
- Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Breakfast: Hand-dipped cinnamon streusel bread is griddled until golden brown, then topped with cinnamon and cream cheese icings
- Pot Roast: This slow-braised rib roast is made with carrots, onions, celery, and homestyle beef gravy.
- Hashbrown Casserole Shepard’s Pie: A twist on the classic, this casserole features slow-cooked pot roast, carrots, peas, onions, celery, and mashed potatoes topped with a crispy, griddled hashbrown casserole crust and sour cream
On top of that, you’ll have a Broccoli Cheese Casserole, Sugar Plum Tea, the beloved Country-Fried Turkey, and a selection of five pies: Pecan Pie, Chocolate Pecan Pie, Apple Streusel Pie, Cinnamon Roll Pie, and Pumpkin Pie.
Fans are already sharing excitement about the new items and seasonal favorites on social media, saying, “Cinnamon roll pie oh my goodness golly,” and, “Sugar plum tea I’m in!!!”
“Country Fried Turkey season..the best,” another fan declared.
Some have even sampled the dishes for themselves and come back with rave reviews: “The fried apple french toast bake is DELICIOUS” and “The shepherd's pie is so good!”
And, if you want Cracker Barrel to take on the heavy lifting for Thanksgiving too, the Heat n’ Serve Turkey Dinner has you covered—ready to go from oven to table in two hours. The feast is available for preorder now to pick up starting Nov. 23.
We trust you’ll probably do more than your fair share of holiday cooking this season, so why not let Cracker Barrel handle a meal or two? After all, everyone deserves a little holiday break.
